I read the multiple volumes of the History of the Church by Joseph Smith, back when elders could do a lot of interesting things. BYU faculty interview by Apostle Stapley in 1977. Salt Lake temple marriage, Branch president in Nebraska, high council in Flagstaff, bishopric in Cache Valley. Then I read the other side of church history and was amazed at what I did not know. When I watched The Ascent of Man by Jacob Brownowski I realized that truth cannot be dictated but must always be challenged when h said "Think it possible you may be mistaken."
