evolution

Though the church has no official doctrine surrounding evolution, there have been many claims by church leaders. "If evolution is true, the church is false" claims Joseph Fielding Smith, and even Russell M Nelson said "to think that man evolved from one species to another is, to me, incomprehensible. Man has always been man. Dogs have always been dogs. Monkeys have always been monkeys. It's just the way genetics works." Bruce R McKonkie stated that "evolution was a false and devilish heresy among church members".
