DNA and the Book of Mormon
The church claims "Nothing is known about the DNA of Book of Mormon peoples". Though the church has said that the Nephites and Lamanites are the principle ancestors of Native Americans, it has recently updated the statement to say the are "among the ancestors of the American Indians". There is no DNA evidence of Hebrew influence on native Americans. This is a complex topic that is still being studied, but there is no evidence of any relation. The church has even published a gospel topic essay on the subject because many find the lack of evidence troubling to maintaining a mormon worldview.
