Inactive
A member of the church technically, but not attending and therefore not a "practicing" member. In many cases they have left the church but not bothered to remove their records officially and so the church will continue to count them among their numbers. Often inactive members are non-believing and consider themselves no longer members. Broadly the term refers to those who are not sitting in the pews, but are technically still members of the church.
