tithing spending

The LDS Church requires members to pay 10% of their income as tithing to be considered worthy and attend the temple. The church provides no financial transparency about how tithing is spent. Leaked documents revealed the church has accumulated over $100 billion in investments while spending relatively little on charitable causes. Members struggling financially are still expected to pay tithing before feeding their families.
