Patriarchy
The LDS Church is structured as a patriarchy where only men hold priesthood authority. Women cannot serve in top leadership positions, preside over men, or perform ordinances like baptism. Wives are taught to follow their husbands, who preside over the home. This system limits women's autonomy, voice, and opportunities within the church. Many women find this structure oppressive and incompatible with modern values of equality.
