Faith Crisis
A state of intense emotional distress resulting from discovering church history or doctrinal information that conflicts with the traditional LDS narrative. Common triggers include learning about polygamy, Book of Mormon historicity issues, or translation methods. Some prefer terms like "truth crisis" or "deconstruction."
