Biography

Dale G. Renlund is an apostle who has served since 2015. A renowned cardiologist, Renlund was medical director of the Utah Transplantation Affiliated Hospitals cardiac transplant program before his calling.

Born in Salt Lake City to a Finnish mother and Swedish father, Renlund brings a Scandinavian heritage to the apostleship. He served a mission in Sweden and has maintained close ties to his European roots.

As a physician, Renlund has brought medical metaphors and perspectives to his teaching. He has spoken about spiritual healing using concepts from cardiac medicine and has addressed doubt and faith from an analytical perspective.
