    About me

My name is Lukus Arnold I was a Mormon who got saved by my parents.

    # Why I left More stories of 'Why I left' the Mormon church

I have been a Mormon for as long as I can remember. frequently attending church in Fairfield CA and I never saw anything wrong or had any doubt. in primary I was learning about god and church history we even sang songs. I made many friends there. We moved to Cincinnati OH in 2018 and immediately the stake center area we were moving into helped us move in and we never went hungry with surprise hot meals being delivered to our house almost everyday while we were settling in. We were happy for 4 years then things got rough my dad had lost his job and with a family of 4 kids we were in financial trouble we missed a few tithes because we preferred food on the table then to “donate” so my parents made the hard decision to miss tithes and of course within a month my mom and dads temple recommends were revoked. My mom was heartbroken why would she not be allowed to do ordinances for a loving forgiving god all because we were the ones in need.little of this did I know at the time until one day after a long hard conversation we were all on the same page we were still members but my parents just wanted to peek at other churches and see what’s so bad about them (we were taught all churches that aren’t Mormon were not of god) the first church we went to was incredible but we soon learned a devastating truth almost everything we learned about god as Mormons was false we began researching and by the second week away from the church we were ready to be done with Mormonism the intense feeling of relief I felt in that church was indescribable and coffees amazing by the way I’ve been free from the church for almost 3 years and I’m still learning to this day who god really is and let me tell you he is more incredible than any words can describe so that’s my story and as much  as I’m learning about the grace of god it hurts to know what other members are going through I see leaked footage of ordinances and cultish behavior trust me this is NOT normal that feeling you feel of discomfort and unease you have don’t ignore it a lot of people do my mom did for years she describes the temple ceremony’s cultish and scary to any current members: if your even on this website your already doubting and don’t worry that’s a good thing in this case keep researching and if they tell you to stop u keep going until you find the truth and get out I’ll be praying for you.

My name is Lukus Arnold and I am a non denominational Christian I used to be in a cult but now I’m free
