Biography

Sylvester Q. Cannon was an apostle from 1938 until his death in 1943. The son of apostle George Q. Cannon, he continued a family tradition of church leadership.

Cannon served as Presiding Bishop before his apostolic call and was known for his administrative abilities. His brief five-year apostleship came late in life.
