Biography

David B. Haight was an apostle from 1976 until his death in 2004, serving for 28 years. A native of Idaho, Haight had careers in retail business and as mayor of Palo Alto, California.

Haight was known for his gentle demeanor and accounts of near-death experience. In 1989, he shared a powerful spiritual experience he had during a medical crisis, describing visions of Christ’s life and ministry.

He served faithfully into his late 90s, becoming one of the oldest apostles to serve. His long service spanned significant periods of church growth and change.
