    # Why I left More stories of 'Why I left' the Mormon church

I have many, many near-conclusion conclusions.

Chicago. Dental Schools. LeRoy John Buckmiller, my Great-Grandpa, born in 1901. Dentist in Hollywood. (Why are so many Mormons dentists?)

He was London Temple President in late 60s; that said, he was not a terribly kind father to my Grandma Donna, at least. Of course I did not grow up in the home, but according to her, he was miserly, cold/cruel, and Scrooge-like toward her from what she has shared with us.

She has some very, very strange stories from her childhood as well. Things that just “stick” with you when you hear them.

LeRoy also did Heber J. Grant’s “singing dentures.”

All of this I remember from an interview my brother, Eric, sister-in-law, April, and I did maybe in 1999.  (Eric and April are great at obtaining and keeping records/organized.)

We visited LeRoy when he was 99 years old at our Great Aunt Ruth’s home (his daughter) in Kaysville in 1999, I think.

His hearing was poor, so he called me TRIKA that day.

The nickname stuck because Eric and April kept it going. I love Trika as a nickname very much.

LeRoy was likely more important than anyone told me.

I think I somehow intuited that; regardless, I paid attention.

Eric has the recording of that interview with Leroy.

I remember the details, even though I was as quite young (14 yrs).

Trauma makes you remember things very, very well.

I am very motivated to use that for good.
