About me

I was raised in the Mormon church by a very loving father.  My mother struggles with mental illness and looking back I can see how the church played a central role in driving a wedge between us. I formally left the church a few months ago after 50 plus years as a member.

# Why I left More stories of 'Why I left' the Mormon church

My decision to leave was a culmination of experiences and truth finding that actually made it easy to part ways. I always doubted men were called of God. It wasn’t difficult for me to see those that aspired to callings and mingled their own beliefs with a Christ centered teaching. Over the decades. I would see the damage it caused to my family and no questions asked responses from the brethren.  CES letter was the cherry on top for me.
