Biography
Warren S. Snow was an early LDS bishop in Manti, Utah. He is most notorious for the 1857 castration of Thomas Lewis, a young man in his ward who had been courting a woman Snow wanted to take as a plural wife. Brigham Young’s response to the incident, as recorded in his secretary’s journal, stated that Snow had acted correctly.
