Alonzo A. Hinckley was an apostle from 1934 until his death in 1936, serving only two years. He was the first cousin once removed of Gordon B. Hinckley, who would later become church president.
Hinckley served as a mission president and stake president before his apostolic call at age 64. His brief service ended with his death at 66.
