I'm Ryan
I'm unafraid. I was a mormon.
About me
When you leave a structured belief system, you are forced to rebuild. I have had the privilege of crafting my own support system as well as help build them for those around me with similar stories. I have been able to advocate for the LGBT community without fear of being silenced or looked down upon by those whom I once placed above me.
If there is a god, nobody stands between us now.

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

I didn’t go anywhere! I’m still here, committed to bettering myself and the world around me. I think all of us are walking toward similar goals though our methods, beliefs, and hopes may differ.
