Biography
George Q. Morris was an apostle from 1954 until his death in 1962. Named after George Q. Cannon, he served in church leadership throughout his adult life.
Morris was general superintendent of the Young Men’s Mutual Improvement Association before his apostolic call. His eight years as an apostle came late in life.
He represents the many apostles who devoted their entire careers to church service before receiving the apostolic calling.
